Meet the Founder and Executive Director of Light of Hope Orphans Care Organization
Mugulusi Geoffrey
Mugulusi Geoffrey is a qualified Social Worker and Administrator with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and Social Administration. He also holds certificates in Administrative Law and Discipleship. He is married to his lovely wife, Naigaga Zowhena, and they are blessed with three biological children. In addition to being a loving father to his own family, Geoffrey serves as a father figure and caregiver to many orphans and vulnerable children under the ministry of Light of Hope Orphans Care Organization.
Geoffrey is a Born Again Christian whose faith in Jesus Christ is central to his life and service. He is passionate about serving God and helping orphans, vulnerable children, and poor and needy families in the community. His commitment to this work is deeply rooted in both his Christian faith and his personal experience of poverty.
Geoffrey grew up in a very poor family and witnessed firsthand the challenges his father faced in providing education, food, clothing, shelter, medical care, and other basic necessities for his children. These experiences helped him understand the struggles faced by vulnerable families and developed in him a deep sense of compassion for children and families living in difficult circumstances.
Over the years, Geoffrey’s Christian faith, personal experiences, professional training, and God-given passion for serving others have shaped his calling to care for vulnerable children and families. He believes that God has called him to help restore hope and dignity to those facing poverty, HIV/AIDS, illness, and other difficult circumstances.
Through his leadership at Light of Hope Orphans Care Organization, Geoffrey seeks to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ in practical ways while supporting children and families toward a more hopeful and sustainable future.
