Mission
To demonstrate God’s love and restore hope by improving the well-being of orphans and vulnerable children through education, food and nutrition, basic necessities, spiritual support, protection, and sustainable community development.

- We believe God’s plan for human sexuality is to be expressed only within the context of marriage, that God created man and woman as unique biological persons made to complete each other. God instituted monogamous marriage between male and female as the foundation of the family and the basic structure of human society. For this reason, we believe that marriage is exclusively the union of one genetic male and one genetic female. Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:5-6; Mark 10:6-9; Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9.We believe that the term “marriage” has only one meaning: the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as described in Scripture (Genesis 2:18-25, Malachi 2). We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman who are married to each other (1 Corinthians 6:18, 7:2-5, Hebrews 13:4). We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of a marriage between a man and a woman. We believe that any form of sexual immorality (including, but not limited to, pre-marital sex, adultery, fornication, homosexual behavior, bisexual conduct, bestiality, incest, transgender conduct or use of pornography) is sinful and offensive to God (Matthew 15:18-20, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10).We believe that the term “marriage” has only one meaning: the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as described in Scripture (Genesis 2:18-25, Malachi 2). We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman who are married to each other (1 Corinthians 6:18, 7:2-5, Hebrews 13:4). We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of a marriage between a man and a woman. We believe that any form of sexual immorality (including, but not limited to, pre-marital sex, adultery, fornication, homosexual behavior, bisexual conduct, bestiality, incest, transgender conduct or use of pornography) is sinful and offensive to God (Matthew 15:18-20, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10).We also believe that God disapproves of and forbids any attempt to alter one’s gender by surgery or appearance. (Genesis 2:24; Genesis 19:5, 13; Genesis 26:8-9; Leviticus 18:1-30; Deuteronomy 22:5; Romans 1:26-29; 1 Corinthians 5:1; 6:9; 1 Thessalonians 4:1-8; Hebrews 13:4)
- We believe in Holy Marriage between man and woman strictly as commanded by God. Marriage is between a man and a woman and this was instituted by God. - We exist to promote a Godly kingdom lifestyle and mind-set as we emulate the kind of spiritual understanding, uphold standards of Bible morality, peace and joy that are descriptive attributes of the kingdom of light to which we belong
OUR OBJECTIVES
- To provide food, clothing, shelter, and other basic necessities to orphans and vulnerable children, including children and families affected by HIV/AIDS and extreme poverty.
- To promote access to quality education by providing educational support, scholastic materials, and other necessary assistance to orphans and vulnerable children.
- To provide holistic care and support through spiritual guidance, counseling, psychosocial support, mentorship, and other services that promote the emotional, social, and spiritual well-being of orphans and vulnerable children.
- To identify, develop, and promote talents and life skills among children and young people through vocational training, skills development, mentorship, and capacity-building programs.
- To promote the welfare and well-being of people and families affected by HIV/AIDS and extreme poverty through appropriate community-based support and interventions.
- To protect and promote the rights, safety, dignity, and well-being of orphans, vulnerable, and disadvantaged children within the community.
- To improve access to health care and promote healthy living among orphans, vulnerable children, and other vulnerable people in the community.
- To reduce poverty and promote economic empowerment through income-generating activities, vocational skills development, entrepreneurship, and capacity-building initiatives.
- To empower children, adolescents, youths, families, and communities spiritually, socially, economically, and educationally so that they can become self-reliant and contribute positively to society.
- To promote environmental protection, conservation, and sustainability through community awareness, education, and environmentally responsible practices.
- To nurture God-loving, God-fearing, disciplined, responsible, and morally upright children and citizens who contribute positively to the development of their communities and country
- To demonstrate the love of God through compassionate service, care, and support for orphans, vulnerable children, and individuals and families affected by poverty and other social challenges.
- To prevent and address sexual harassment, gender-based violence, and other forms of violence against girls and women through awareness, sensitization, education, prevention, and community-based interventions.

OUR BACKGROUND
Light of Hope Orphans Care Organization is a Community-Based, Christian, charitable and nonprofit organization founded in 2015 by Mugulusi Geoffrey with a vision to ensure a world where every orphaned and vulnerable child, including children affected by HIV/AIDS and extreme poverty, is loved, protected, educated, healthy, self-reliant, and empowered to build a hopeful and sustainable future through the love of God.
The organization was established to demonstrate God’s love, restore hope, and provide practical care and support to children and families in need. Following the initial vision, Mugulusi Geoffrey shared the idea with a team of people who embraced the same passion and commitment to caring for and supporting orphans, vulnerable children, and families facing difficult circumstances. Together, they joined hands to establish an organization dedicated to serving vulnerable children and communities. In 2015, Light of Hope Orphans Care Organization was officially registered with the relevant Government authority in Uganda as a Community-Based and nonprofit organization.
Light of Hope Orphans Care Organization is Christ-centered and founded on Christian values and the Born Again Christian faith. We are firmly committed to Biblical principles and to serving in a way that reflects the love and teachings of Jesus Christ. We are Uncompromisingly Biblical and unashamedly Christian. We believe that Jesus Christ is Lord of all life, and therefore we endeavor to share His love and the Word of God while providing practical care and support to orphans, vulnerable children, and needy families in the community.
Light of Hope Orphans Care Organization is located in Buwenge Town Council, Jinja District, Uganda. Our work focuses on improving the well-being of orphans, vulnerable children and families by providing care, support, education assistance, basic necessities, spiritual encouragement, and other appropriate interventions according to available resources.
We are grateful to everyone who joins us in pursuing this mission. Through prayer, partnership, encouragement, and practical support, friends and partners help make it possible for Light of Hope Orphans Care Organization to continue serving vulnerable children and sharing the love and hope of Jesus Christ. We pray that God will continue to lead, strengthen, and provide for this ministry.
