- We believe God’s plan for human sexuality is to be expressed only within the context of marriage, that God created man and woman as unique biological persons made to complete each other. God instituted monogamous marriage between male and female as the foundation of the family and the basic structure of human society. For this reason, we believe that marriage is exclusively the union of one genetic male and one genetic female. Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:5-6; Mark 10:6-9; Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9.

OUR OBJECTIVES

To provide food, clothing, shelter support, mattresses, bedsheets, and shoes for Orphans, Vulnerable Children, and children who are affected by HIV/AIDS epidemic and extreme poverty.

To provide education and scholastic materials for Orphans and Vulnerable Children.

To give care, spiritual support, counseling and guidance, and psychosocial support for Orphans, Vulnerable Children, and children who are affected by HIV/AIDS epidemic and extreme poverty.

To promote talents, vocational training, life skills development, and capacity building for Orphans, Vulnerable Children, and children who are affected by HIV/AIDS epidemic and extreme poverty.

To promote the welfare and well-being of people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS epidemic and extreme poverty in the community.

To protect and promote the rights of Orphans, Vulnerable and disadvantaged children in the Community.

HISTORY
Light of Hope Orphans Care Organization is a Community-Based charity and nonprofit organization that was founded in 2013 by Mugulusi Geoffrey to improve the welfare and well-being standards, show God’s love and restore hope for Orphans, Vulnerable Children, and children who come from families that are affected by HIV/AIDS epidemic and extreme poverty in the Community. Later on, Mugulusi Geoffrey shared the idea with a team of members who embraced it and also shared a common aim and passion to care, help and support Orphans, Vulnerable Children, and children affected by HIV/AIDS and extreme poverty in the community. The team of members joined Mugulusi Geoffrey and in 2015, Light of Hope Orphans Care Organization was officially registered with the Government Authority as a Community Based and Non-profit Organization in Uganda.
We are a Christ-Centered and Christian charity founded on Christian values and Born Again Faith. We believe in our Lord Jesus Christ and since Christ is the Lord of all life, we endeavor to share the love Jesus Christ and the word of God while providing for the needs of orphans, vulnerable children, and needy people in the community.
We are located in Buwenge Town Council, in Jinja District and our aim is to provide care and support for Orphans, Vulnerable Children, and Children who come from families that are affected by HIV/AIDS epidemic and extreme poverty in the Community.
